استقبل  هاكيندي هتيشيليما رئيس جمهورية زامبيا السفيرة ميادة عصام سفيرة جمهورية مصر العربية لدى جمهورية زامبيا، والمهندس أحمد العصار رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة المقاولون العرب، والوفد المرافق لسيادتهما، والذى ضم المهندس محمد علوي عضو مجلس إدارة الشركة، والمهندس أحمد محمود رئيس القطاع بالشركة المشرف على الدراسات بمشروعات زامبيا، وذلك في إطار متابعة مخرجات زيارة رئيس جمهورية زامبيا للقاهرة في فبراير ٢٠٢٥، والتي تم خلالها التوقيع على ثلاث مذكرات تفاهم بين شركة المقاولون العرب ووزارة البنية التحتية الزامبية، والتي تتضمن تنفيذ عشرة مشروعات في مجال البنية التحتية.
 
أكدت السفيرة ميادة عصام، علي توجيهات السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي بتعزيز التعاون مع جمهورية زامبيا في شتي المجالات من خلال مشروعات مُحددة، ومن بينها البنية التحتية والبناء والتشييد، باعتبارها أحد أهم أركان التنمية، واستعرضت ما تم تحقيقه من خطوات عملية علي مدار الشهور التي تلت الزيارة الرئاسية في مجالات الصحة والدواء، والزراعة والثروتين الحيوانية والسمكية وإدارة الموارد المائية، والطاقة والطاقة المُتجددة.

من جانبه، استعرض المهندس أحمد العصار، رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة المقاولون العرب خبرات الشركة الطويلة في تنفيذ مشروعات كبرى في مصر وإفريقيا، خاصة في مجالات الطرق والكباري، والمطارات، ومحطات المياه والصرف الصحي، والمباني الحكومية والمرافق الحيوية. وأكد استعداد شركة المقاولون العرب للمساهمة في تنفيذ مشروعات استراتيجية في زامبيا، بما يتماشى مع خطة الدولة للتنمية المستدامة وتحسين البنية التحتية.
 
وأكد السيد الرئيس هيتشيليما على تقديره العميق للسيد رئيس الجمهورية والجهود التي يقوم بها فخامته لتحقيق التنمية في مصر ودعم الاستقرار بالمنطقة، معرباً عن سعادته بنتائج زيارته الأخيرة للقاهرة، وحرصه على متابعة تنفيذ ما تم الاتفاق عليه من مشروعات خلالها، وذلك حتي يكون التعاون المصري الزامبي نموذجا للتكامل الإفريقي. كما أعرب عن ترحيبه الكبير بتعزيز التعاون مع الشركات المصرية، مشيداً بكفاءة شركة المقاولون العرب، وتاريخها العريق، وسمعتها الممتازة في القارة الإفريقية، ودورها في دعم التنمية والبنية التحتية في العديد من الدول.
The Zambian President receives the Egyptian Ambassador to Lusaka and the Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company 

His Excellency Hakainde Hichilema  - President of the Republic of Zambia received Ambassador Mayada Essam – Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Zambia, Eng. Ahmed El Assar – Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, and their accompanying delegation included Eng. Mohamed Elwi - Board Member of the Arab Contractors Company, and Eng. Ahmed Mahmoud - Head of Sector supervising studies for Zambian projects. This comes within the framework to follow-up on the outcomes of the Zambian President’s visit to Cairo in February 2025, during which 3 memoranda of understanding were signed between the Arab Contractors Company and the Zambian Ministry of Infrastructure, which include the implementation of 10 infrastructure projects.
Ambassador Mayada Essam emphasized on President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to promote cooperation with Zambia in different fields through specific projects, including infrastructure, building and construction, as these are among the most important pillars of development. She explored the practical steps achieved over the months following the presidential visit in the fields of health and pharmaceutical, agriculture, livestock and fisheries, water resources management, energy, and renewable energy.
Eng. Ahmed El Assar – Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company explored the company’s extensive experience in implementing major projects in Egypt and Africa, particularly in the fields of roads and bridges, airports, water and sewage plants, governmental buildings, and vital utilities. He confirmed the Arab Contractors’ readiness to contribute to the implementation of strategic projects in Zambia, in accordance with the country’s plan for sustainable development and infrastructure improvement.
The Zambian President expressed his great appreciation to the Egyptian President and his efforts to achieve development in Egypt and support stability in the region. He expressed his happiness with the results of his recent visit to Cairo and keenness to follow up on the implementation of the projects agreed upon during that visit, thus the Egyptian-Zambian cooperation can serve as a model for African integration. Besides; He expressed his  welcome for promoting cooperation with the Egyptian companies, praising the competence of the Arab Contractors Company with its long history, excellent reputation in Africa, and its distinguished role in supporting development and infrastructure in several countries.
